Johannesburg - A former Nedbank branch manager was jailed for eight years by the Johannesburg Commercial Crime Court on Monday for theft totalling R2.1m.
Grant Ian Chalmers, 30, of Radiokop, north of Johannesburg, in June pleaded guilty to, and was convicted of, three counts of theft.
The crimes were committed between December 22, 2000 and September 16 last year.
Some of the money siphoned off was from the Centre for the Study of Violence.
Chalmers allegedly used the money for his family's daily living expenses.
