Four injured in KZN accidents

Johannesburg - Four people were injured in two separate accidents in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday, paramedics said.

Two people were injured when a car they were travelling in veered off the N3 and overturned into a field the about 10km from Harrismith, Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said.

The accident took place around 12:14 near the Eeram offramp.

The vehicle had been hit by another car in the rear, Botha said.

Both cars were travelling towards Gauteng.

The injured pair was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

In a separate accident, two people were seriously injured in a side-impact accident along Mount Batted Drive, Durban on Saturday, Botha said.

They were taken to a nearby hospital.

The cause of the accident was unclear.
