Johannesburg - Three of the most wanted suspects in Thabong, Welkom, have been arrested for business robbery, Free State police said on Sunday.

Police were tipped off on Friday that four men had robbed two tuck-shops within an hour, Sergeant Mamello Mokhuoane said.

Both shops were owned by Bangladeshis.

"The suspects entered the shops and pointed [at the owners] with a firearm. They demanded an undisclosed amount of cash and stole some property. They fled the scene in a white Toyota Conquest," he said.

The car was found in Manny's town, Welkom. The 23-year-old driver was still inside. His two accomplices, aged 23 and 28, were later found in taverns in Thabong.

The fourth robber was still at large.

All three would appear in the Welkom Magistrate's Court on Monday, said Mokhuoane.
