Gauteng man crushed by tractor

2012-05-22 22:32

Johannesburg - A man was killed when he fell underneath a tractor while driving it near Bronkhorstspruit on Tuesday, paramedics said.

The man, in his 20s, was driving the tractor on a gravel road when the accident happened around 16:00, said Netcare911 spokesperson Jeffrey Wicks.

"It is believed the man was driving the tractor when he slipped off his seat and fell underneath the tractor while it was still moving."

Wicks said the tractor came to a stop against a nearby fence with the man still pinned underneath.

"He sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on the scene."

Damn R.I.P dude, condolences.... I don't know much about tractors so forgive me if you think my question is stupid or something but, don't tractors have seatbelts or something to make sure you don't slip off the seat?
