Johannesburg - Two Gauteng roads and safety employees were arrested on Tuesday for forgery and corruption, an official said.

They were accused of selling fraudulent letters to job seekers to enable them to enter the provincial traffic training college, community safety spokesperson Mashadi Selepe said.

They handed themselves to the police through their lawyers on Tuesday morning. The two were expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

The arrests formed part of investigations by the department of community safety and law enforcement agencies that began a few months ago.
