Gauteng train services to be disrupted
Johannesburg - Metrorail train services will be disrupted in several parts of Gauteng on Tuesday morning because of faulty signals, the company said.
"Our technicians are attending to the problem and we apologise to the commuters for the inconvenience," spokesperson Tony Games said.
He said technical faults had occurred on the signals at Kaalfontein, but the cause was not known.
The faults would delay the train service between Pretoria and Johannesburg, and between Pretoria and Leralla.
Games said there was a contingency plan to keep delays to less than 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, the SABC has reported that the Gautrain bus service hoped its drivers would return to work on Tuesday morning.
Drivers reported late for work on Monday as part of a wage dispute.
Spokesperson for Bombela Concession company Kelebogile Machaka said the drivers were demanding that the bus company provide them with transport services from their residences to their workplace every day.
