Get flu jab, public urged

2011-04-19 09:12

Johannesburg - The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) has advised people who are at high-risk of influenza complications to be vaccinated for flu ahead of the winter season, SABC reported on Tuesday.

This included pregnant women, people with chronic lung disease and those with diabetes.

The institute said taking the vaccination, would help reduce the chance of serious complications such as viral or bacterial pneumonia.

Vaccinations are available in both the private and public health sectors.

No thanks, had it twice and was sicker than any other year I did not get the vaccination.

Absolutely, darkwing. Same experience. I look after my immune system, it must do its work.

The flu vaccine can actually weaken the immune system and make you more predisposed to the illness. Guys just eat healthy, exercise and get enough sleep... works for me!

That Flu Jab is pure poison. Just another way to make an easy buck for the doctors and pharmaceutical companies. Two years ago an elderly friend of mine died as a direct result of that injection. Take lots of Vitamin C supplements and eat apples.
