Durban - An 11-year-old girl is missing in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Tuesday.

Ovocel Munengu was last seen by her aunt on Monday night at 20:00 leaving the block of flats where she lives in Durban’s CBD, Warrant Officer Mack Maharaj told News24.

Munengu was by herself. She was wearing a pair of black pants and a blue t-shirt at the time of her disappearance.

None of her friends or family has heard from her, Maharaj told News24.

Maharaj said the child had apparently run away from home before.

Anyone with any information regarding her whereabouts can contact the Warrant Officer Mack Maharaj at Point Police Station on 031 367 4029 or on his cell at 082 2610 051.

We have been taught that we need three meals a day in order to make it through the day and while most of us indulge in more than our fair share there is a large portion of South Africans who are living off barely enough to sustain them.
