Malalane - A man accused of hacking his ex-girlfriend to death and hanging her intestines on her bedroom wall appeared briefly in court on Thursday.
Mthokozisi Metiso, 22, of Middelplaas south of Malalane in Mpumalanga appeared in the Boschfontein periodical court south of Malalane with 25-year-old Solomon Sambo.
They were not asked to plead to charges of murder and were remanded in custody until August 21 for further investigation.
Metiso was arrested on Wednesday and Sambo on Thursday.
They are accused of butchering 22-year-old Nthabiseng Portia Makofane of Boschfontein village last Friday after she broke up with Metiso.
Makofane, who was the mother of Metiso's daughter, was killed with a bush knife. Sambo is believed to have kept watch while Makofane's throat and stomach were slit open.
