Johannesburg - A girl died and five people were injured when a bakkie crashed into the back of a stationary bakkie at the side of the N12, outside Witbank, paramedics said on Thursday.
"A 6-year-old girl, who was in the car, was declared dead on the scene by paramedics," ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks said.
"A 4-year-old boy, who was also in the car, is in a critical condition after suffering suspected neck, back and internal injuries," he said.
"The three adults in the car and the driver of the bakkie sustained neck and back injuries."
Banks said the five were taken to a nearby hospital.
