Girl dies after horrific rape ordeal

Cape Town - A 17-year-old Bredasdorp girl who was brutally
raped and left for dead managed to identify one of her attackers before dying.
A staff member at the Bredasdorp hospital where Anene
Booysen was treated said her injuries were “too horrific” to mention in any
newspaper, reported Die Burger.
"It was one of the harshest we've ever seen here at the
hospital," said the hospital source, adding that they were unable to do
anything for her.
Booysen was transferred to a Worcester hospital and then to
Tygerberg Hospital where she mentioned the name
of one of her attackers before
she died on Saturday evening.
She was raped during the early hours of Saturday morning by a
group of men who had apparently lured her away from a local hang-out where she
had been with friends. Security officials found her and called the police.
The man she had been able to identify was arrested and has
appeared in court on charges of kidnapping and rape.
Another three suspects have since been arrested.
