Cape Town – Two of the four men involved in the murders of actor Brett Goldin and fashion designer Richard Bloom were released on parole on Wednesday, according to reports.

The parole board deemed the two men are eligible for parole after serving more than two thirds of their sentence at the Drakenstein Correctional Centre, Eyewitness News reported.

Jade Wyngaard and Nurshad Davids were sentenced to 15 years each after being convicted for armed robbery, hijacking and kidnapping in the case that shocked the nation in 2006.

Goldin and Bloom’s bodies were discovered next to the Klipfontein off-ramp of the M5 Highway in April that year.

Wyngaard and David’s parole came with certain conditions.

A correctional services department official told EWN that the two underwent rehabilitation programmes, including anger management.

Goldin's mother, Denise, told the Cape Times earlier in June that she prefers not to think about their release, and hopes they have been fully rehabilitated.

In August 2013, the pair were denied parole for the third time, but had another parole hearing that December, where they were granted parole from June 2014.

The two other men convicted of murdering Goldin and Bloom - Shavaan Marlie and Clinton Davids - remain behind bars, each serving a 28 year sentence.
