Headless body found in Knysna

Johannesburg - The headless body of a man has been discovered on a river bank in Knysna, in the Western Cape, police said on Thursday.

It was found partly buried on Wednesday afternoon, said Captain Malcolm Pojie.

Police conducted a search after a dog brought a human skull to a house in the area on Tuesday night.

Pojie said an inquest docket had been opened.

      I think they said he is headless - not Godless.

      I don't think he was decapitated when he was buried. Once a body decomposes there isn't anything to hold the skeleton in place which is why when the dog tugged on the skull it easily separated from the rest of the skeleton.
