Pretoria - The two men accused of killing Pretoria woman, Chanelle Henning, pleaded not guilty to her murder in the North Gauteng High Court on Monday.

Former Nigerian Olympic athlete Ambrose Monye and André Gouws both pleaded not guilty to five charges relating to Henning's murder.

The four other charges were conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to procure an illegal firearm and ammunition, possession of an illegal firearm, and possession of illegal ammunition.

The 26-year-old mother was shot dead while driving in Faerie Glen in Pretoria East on November 8 2011 shortly after dropping off her child at a crèche.

The trial was postponed when the State was unable to secure an interpreter before the end of the day.

"We tried and we couldn't get him," prosecutor Gerrie Nel said.

The trial will resume at 09:00 on Tuesday.
