Hundreds gather for Madiba bash

Pretoria - Hundreds of people have started to gather at Pretoria's Loftus Versfeld stadium on Saturday to celebrate former president Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday.
The venue was marked with queques of young and old alike waiting to the enter the stadium.
The security in and around the stadium was also very visible with metro police blocking several streets leading to the stadium.
Inside in the stadium others had already taken their seats with some waving their ANC flags and chanting songs.
A short distance from the pitch Archbishop Desmond Tutu and newly inducted cabinet minister Kgalema Mothlanthe were seen exchanging greetings.
Proceedings were expected to get under way at 11:00 with President Thabo Mbeki as well as party president Jacob Zuma addressing the crowd.
