Hunt continues for Limpopo child killers

2012-08-31 19:01

Johannesburg - The search continued on Friday to find those responsible for the deaths of three children in Naboomspruit, Limpopo police said.

"Police have been working very hard to solve this case. We have key information which is being followed up," Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said.

Brothers Bafana Kekana, 9, and Hosea Richard Kekana, 10, and their cousin Johana Kekana, 12, were found dead in Naboomspruit two weeks ago.

They had been stoned to death, and their hands and feet bound with shoelaces. The girl was raped before she was killed.

They were last seen on August 15 during a march to demand more teachers at their school, Dikobo Primary. Their bodies were found three days later.

The lived at the Montadi Youth Care Centre.

They were buried on Saturday.

Huge RANT, sorry: "This makes me uncomfortably angry (aka die moer in). The only thing these kids seem to have had in this world was each other and their lives, and this ________ (fill in the most profane, disgusting, anti-human word you can think of) had to take even that from them. From what I've picked up from years of watching crime stories (they cover some basic detective skills), I believe you're looking for a male (not a man, real men don't rape!), opportunist; they were in a march, he could not have known they would be there, unless he was known to them, (maybe that's how he lured them away...) He's 25 - 40 years old (no reason for saying this except it's the world average age of rapists), relatively poor; he used rocks, not a weapon (adds to my crime of opportunity theory, he wasn't prepared), single; I believe his target was the girl (naturally I'm speculating, but I think he wanted to rape the girl, he is and will always be, a massive failure at life, a coward that can't get "companionship" without using force. Unfortunately, all three were witnesses to his despicable crime, hence the stoning... May he die of a thousand cuts (Chinese torture, that might be to good for him...)
