Cape Town - Police were continuing to search on Monday for a Franschhoek man who went missing at the weekend, said Captain Johnny May of Boland police.
He said Rolani Sambatta, 35, of Langrug informal settlement, was reported missing by family members on Sunday, 24 hours after he left home.
"He just left his residence with a kind of rope. He never returned," said May.
A helicopter and rescue dogs were used in an intensive search in the area, and along the base of the Franschhoek mountains on Sunday.
Police were continuing the search on Monday, but without the helicopter and dogs, said May.
