Inquiry into corporal punishment

Nelspruit - Mpumalanga premier Ndaweni Mahlangu has set up a commission of inquiry into corporal punishment in the province's schools, his office said.
Spokesman Joy Letlonkane said the commission, comprising three people, would look at schools in the province that still practised corporal punishment, which has been outlawed by government.
The Mpumalanga Executive Council approved the premier's commission at its sitting on Wednesday in Badplaas.
The commission would comprise of Dan Mohlamonyane, Solomon Motshana and MD Mhlanga. - Sapa
