Johannesburg - The SABC will conduct an internal enquiry into accusations that certain commentators were barred from being interviewed because of their political views, said the broadcaster on Saturday.
The independent internal enquiry would also investigate alleged wrongdoing by any member of the SABC staff, said group chief executive advocate Dali Mpofu.
He said the enquiry would be chaired by Zwelakhe Sisulu, a former SABC boss.
He will be assisted by Gilbert Marcus.
Mpofu said their findings and recommendations would be tabled to the SABC upon the completion of their report.
The terms of reference of the enquiry were being finalised by the SABC.
"The enquiry will commence its work as soon as practically possible," said Mpofu.
