Johannesburg - The Judicial Services Commission (JSC) has invited nominations to fill judge vacancies in different regions.
The commission said on Monday nominations had to be accompanied by the candidate's written consent, a detailed CV, a completed questionnaire available online signed by the candidate, and a minimum of three written judgements.
Interviews with short-listed candidates would be open to the public and media, and individuals or groups who nominated candidates, the JSC said in a statement.
Nominations had to be addressed to and reach the JSC secretariat no later than 16:00 on 27 July.
The vacant positions included two within the Eastern Cape High Court, two in the Electoral Court, deputy judge president of the KwaZulu-Natal High Court, and judge president of the Labour and Labour Appeals Court.
The positions of deputy judge president of the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg and the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria were also vacant, the commission said.
