Jhb mall robbers arrested

Johannesburg - Four men - one of them armed - robbed shoppers of their cellphones and an undisclosed amount of money at Eastgate Shopping mall, police said on Monday.
Spokesperson Captain Cheryl Engelbrecht said the incident happened at 08:30 on Monday.
A security guard who responded to the crime, chased the robbers and cornered them at the intersection of Longman and Queens roads in Cleveland, said Engelbrecht.
"They robbers were driving a Nissan Sentra. One of the robbers pointed a firearm at the security guard who then fired shots at them in Cleveland. No one was injured," she said.
The men faced charges of pointing a firearm, possession of dagga and possession of stolen cellphones.
They have been linked to other cases of hijacking and would appear in court soon, police said.
