Jhb power back on

Johannesburg - Power had been restored by 13:00 in all of Johannesburg's western suburbs hit by the latest power failure on Friday.
According to the City Power's recorded message the power failure covered Auckland Park, Westdene, Newlands, Albertville, Melville, Triomf and Northcliff.
Spokesperson Sol Masolo attributed the outage to a power trip at the Hurst Hill sub-station.
The cause of the trip would only be known once the technician arrived back at the depot and filed his report, Masolo said.
The areas, a busy mixture of residences, businesses and medical facilities are regularly left without power.
Last year, supermarkets and restaurants were forced to throw away truckloads of food which rotted during a prolonged outage.
This week alone, there have been several power failures across town, including Newtown and Parkhurst, attributed variously to a suspected attempted cable theft or to the inclement weather.
Masolo requested that a perception that the entire suburbs were without power be corrected, saying that only certain streets in those named on the company's recorded message were affected.
