KZN man in court for abusing son

Pietermaritzburg - A 32-year-old man from the Clarendon area
of Pietermaritzburg appeared in court on Tuesday in connection with an
allegation that he had performed oral sex on his 7-year-old son.
The alleged incident occurred in February.
The man first appeared in the magistrate’s court and was
transferred to the regional court after he indicated he intended to plead
guilty.
The accused was remanded in custody until 2 April, pending
consultations with his attorney and to enable investigations to be undertaken
by correctional supervision officials.
Meanwhile a 39-year-old father from Scottsville,
Pietermaritzburg, who is charged with the rape and sexual assault of his 13-year-old
daughter on 4 March, and between December 2012 and March this year, was not
brought to court with other prisoners on Tuesday.
His case was postponed until Thursday.
The man said last week that he intended to plead guilty to
the charges
