Durban - Two men accused of complicity in the murder of ANC councillor Wandile Mkhize appeared in the Ramsgate District Court on Thursday, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
Dumisane Sikhakhane, 35, and Kwanele Hlongwane, 40, would be back in court on 14 December for a bail application, Captain Thulani Zwane said.
Both face two counts of murder. Hlongwane is also charged with illegal possession of ammunition and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Mkhize was shot dead in a drive-by shooting near his home in Manaba, Margate, on 30 July.
Nhlakanipho Shabane, who was with him at the time, spent three weeks in a coma before dying in hospital.
