KZN police offer reward for info on couple's murder

Pietermaritzburg - KwaZulu-Natal police have offered a reward of up to R50 000 for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the brutal murder of Pietermaritzburg couple Malcolm Lawson, 72, and his wife Susan, 72.

The elderly couple was attacked in their Oribi Village home in Trion Circle at about 02:45 on February 26. The attacker(s) stabbed them and set their bodies alight, police spokesperson Colonel Jay Naicker said.

The Alexandra police are investigating the murder cases.

Anyone who may have information that can assist in the investigation is requested to contact Detective Warrant Officer Vusi Shabangu on 076 740 3091 or 033 845 7700.
