King Zwelithini calls for peace

Johannesburg - King Goodwill Zwelithini has called for an
end to political violence in KwaZulu-Natal, the Zulu Royal Household said on
Tuesday.
"We cannot afford an image of a province wherein
political intolerance is the order of the day."
He said there was a fear that the province was in danger
of slipping back into the violence that had wracked it in the past.
His household said Zwelithini "will do everything in
his power to ensure that the recurrence of such destructive behaviour is nipped
in the bud.
"His Majesty is hopeful that our security machinery
will take all necessary steps to ensure that peace prevails, and that any
unruly elements found to be violating the rights of others will face the might
of the law."
Zwelithini called on the clergy to assist political leaders
in keeping peace in the province.
