2012-02-16 18:39

Pretoria - Businessman Radovan Krejcir's bail application was postponed on Thursday when he appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court.

The former Czech Republic national and two of his alleged accomplices appeared on charges of armed robbery.

Krejcir was arrested at his home in Bedfordview, east of Johannesburg, on Sunday afternoon.

His alleged accomplices, Jason Domingues and Veselin Langalin, were arrested in Bryanston and at a restaurant in Sandton.

Krejcir denied any involvement in the alleged robbery in an affidavit read out by advocate Mike Hellens in support of his bail application.

Magistrate Adriaan Bekker ended the court session for the day while Hellens was presenting the affidavit. The matter was set down for Friday.

Krejcir's affidavit stated that he had assumed citizenship of the Seychelles and had forfeited his original Czech nationality.
