KwaZulu-Natal man burnt in chemical accident

Johannesburg - A man was severely burnt by chemicals on Wednesday at a factory in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said.

The 31-year-old man was mixing the chemicals, which reacted and splashed on him, said ER24 spokesperson André Visser.

"He sustained severe burns to his right arm and foot as well as his chest," said Visser.

He was taken to Pietermaritzburg Mediclinic for treatment.
