Zola Tongo, the taxi driver for Shrien Dewani and Anni Hindocha, told the Western Cape High Court how the British businessman allegedly asked for the hit on his wife and German escort Leipold Leisser briefly testified as well.

The gentleman said I should hold on because Mr. Dewani wanted to talk to me. I spoke to him. He asked whether I'm fine. I said no, I'm not fine but I'm still alive. He said he will call me to pay the outstanding money. Then he dropped the phone.

He then left me at the police station.

ZT: We met another young man. A guard at the barracks. Said I should ask for a police officer inside. I asked for assistance from the police officer. He tried to call his colleagues but we were not successful. I said there's a lady, my friend. We could phone her and she could fetch me. The police officer called the lady, who fetched me. My friend arrived. I explained what happened.
