Anni Hindocha's sister says the decision to dismiss her former-brother-in-law Shrien Dewani’s murder trial will follow their family for the rest of their lives.

“We waited patiently for four years to hear what really happened to Anni, and to hear the full story of what happened,” she told reporters outside the Western Cape High Court.

“We came here looking for the truth, and all we got, was more questions. “We just wanted to hear all the events, and the hope of actually finding that out has kept us going as a family.

“Unfortunately, we believe that this right has now been taken away from us. Today has been really, really sad, because we never heard the full story from Shrien.

Ashok Hindocha further writes: "She gave herself to him, mind, body and soul and she hoped to have been cherished and loved.

"But she would not have married him if she had known about his secret sex life with male prostitutes and the activities he engaged in. Neither would we have, as a family, condoned a union with a man who indulged himself in such a sordid manner."

Anni's uncle, Ashok Hindocha has released a statement after the judge's decision to drop the case against Dewani.

"We would have preferred that Shrien Dewani went into the witness box and told in his words what happened after he was accused of her murder.

We know now that he was having gay sex with male prostitutes and declared himself bisexual on the first day of his trial. We would have preferred to have known about his sexuality before he married our precious Anni"," says Hindocha.

The Hindocha family quickly left the courtroom.

Also remember, they're suing Dewani for marrying Anni under false pretences (namely, that Dewani lied to Anni about his sexuality).

Mngeni could not have shot the deceased, says JT. These marks undoubtedly indicate some sort of struggle, she says. Primer residue was found on the web area of the glove worn by Qwabe, JT points out.

Qwabe's evidence as to how the deceased was shot does not explain the right hand marks on the deceased's leg.

08 Dec 11:56
Judge: Even more improbable that Tongo who had never been involved in crime would immediately agree to contact his friend.

08 Dec 11:54
Traverso: His evidence was contradicted on material points. The entire story by Tongo is highly improbable.

08 Dec 11:53
JT: It would have flown in the face of Tongo's story had he revealed earlier that he received R1 000 from Dewani.
