2011-12-15 13:02

Johannesburg - A major water leak in terminal A at Johannesburg's O R Tambo International Airport caused disruptions at check-in counters and to baggage services on Thursday, the Airports Company of SA said.

"The problem has been isolated and all efforts are being made to minimise the inconvenience to passengers," spokesperson Unathi Batyashe-Fillis said in a statement.

Of the 104 check-in counters at the airport, 12 would be out of service on Thursday for inspection of equipment for possible water damage, Batyashe-Fillis said.

This delays mean your bag will be searched and all your electronic devices will be stolen. The level of crime at that airport is appalling, but otherwise this is a world class airport and they should cope.
