Lesbian killers to know fate this week
Johannesburg - Four men convicted of killing lesbian Zoliswa Nkonyana were expected to appear in court again on Monday, according to a report.
The Times newspaper said Lubabolo Ntlabathi, Sicelo Mase, Luyanda Londzi and Mbulelo Damba were set to appear for pre-sentencing arguments in the Khayelitsha Regional Court in Cape Town.
In November, the four were found guilty of stoning and stabbing Nkonyana to death in February 2006. She was 19-years-old.
Last year the families of the killers pleaded with the court to sentence them to correctional supervision instead of imprisonment, arguing that they were underage when they committed the offence.
The court case is one of the longest-running in the country and has been postponed about 50 times.
