Lesotho nationals arrested for murder
Johannesburg - Five men have been arrested in Rustenburg for the murder of a Lesotho couple, North West police said on Friday.
The five, also from Lesotho, allegedly killed the couple at a house in the town's Boitekong suburb on December 12, Brigadier Thulani Ngubane said.
The 29-year-old husband and his 25-year-old wife had open wounds to the head and body. Several spent cartridges and rounds of live ammunition were found at the scene.
The arrests were made on Wednesday after one of the men was found at his workplace. He led police to the other four. They are between the ages of 28 and 32.
The man who was killed and the five suspects were also wanted in connection with other murder cases in Boitekong's Sondela section.
They were expected to appear in court on Monday.
