Johannesburg - A 25-year-old Limpopo man was sentenced to life behind bars by the Mankweng Regional Court on Thursday for raping a child, police said.
"We welcome the sentence and hope it will serve as a deterrent to would-be rapists," Brigadier Alex Seopa said.
In December 2009, Jonas Ragoloane, from the Kanana district, dragged a 15-year-old girl, who was walking alone, to his house and repeatedly raped her.
She succeeded in alerting her sister, and the crime was reported to the police.
