Limpopo man held for rape

Johannesburg - A Limpopo man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 6-year-old girl in Ga-Mothiba, Nobody Section, police said on Sunday.

The child was playing in the 44-year-old man's yard when he grabbed her and took her into his house on Saturday morning, Constable Moses Molepo said.

He said a family member noticed there was something amiss with the child and took her to a hospital.

Police were called when doctors confirmed the rape.

The man would appear in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
