Limpopo man held for teen's murder

Johannesburg - A man was arrested on Saturday in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old girl in Ga-Mothapo, Limpopo police said.

Police, acting on a tip off, found the 23-year-old man at his home in Mankweng Unit B.

He was taken into custody for Dikeledi Mehlape's on 27 December last year, Constable Moses Molepo said.

The girl's decomposed body was found on top of the mountain in the Ga Thoka area, Molepo said.

Mehlape was raped before she was stabbed to death.

The man would appear in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Monday on charges of murder and rape charges.
