Johannesburg - Three Limpopo men accused of murdering a 22-year-old man they claimed had stolen their clothes appeared briefly in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

Peter Setati, Thomas Motala and Jerry Motale were expected to apply for bail at their next appearance on Wednesday next week, said police spokesperson Moses Molepo.

The men allegedly killed Sesele Mutavhatsindi when they severely assaulted him at Ga Dikgale, near Mankweng, on Saturday night.

His body was dumped a kilometre away and was discovered by residents on Sunday.

"Police urge members of the community to refrain from taking the law into their own hands and to use the criminal justice system in dealing with alleged robbers and other criminals," Molepo said.
