Lolly suspect to appear in court
Johannesburg - George Louka, the man accused of killing strip club owner Lolly Jackson, will appear in court in Cyprus on Tuesday, police said on Saturday.
Louka was arrested in Cyprus after being on the run since 2010, national police spokesperson Lt-Col Vishnu Naidoo said.
He said Louka was in the custody of Cypriot police.
An extradition process was expected to start after Luca appeared in court.
Jackson, the owner of the Teazers franchise of strip clubs, was shot dead at a house in Edleen near the OR Tambo International Airport on May 3, 2010.
Louka, also known as Louka Smith, allegedly phoned Gauteng crime intelligence boss Joey Mabasa and confessed to killing Jackson shortly after the murder.
Louka told the Sunday Times in a recent interview that he would "want to talk to the police in South Africa".
"But I don't think I will get a fair trail," Louka was quoted as saying.
