Lolly's movie co-stars stunned

Pretoria - Murdered strip club boss, Lolly Jackson, and his "good friend" Christina Storm would have started filming his third movie on Friday.

Storm, a model and actress, would have appeared with Jackson in the movie Eternity. The two also appear in the Egoli movie, which will be released in June, and in the film What's going on in Natie's garage?

Eternity is a vampire movie.

Rumours

Storm and Jackson were also judges in the controversial 2007 reality series Stripteaze, where they looked for the best exotic dancers in the country.

Storm said on Tuesday she was stunned by the news of Jackson's death.

"I know there are these stubborn rumours that Lolly and I were lovers, but that's not true. We did go out together quite often and he was a special friend of mine, but nothing more than that.

"The last time he called me was on Monday at about 16:00, just a few hours before his death. I couldn't answer, so he left a short message: 'It's Lolly. Call me.'

"I only had a chance to listen to the message at 21:00 that night, obviously unaware that he was probably already dead by then. I decided to call the next (this) morning. Then it was too late.

"Very few people know the true Lolly. As a woman I came to know him as a kind, friendly and gentle man. He didn't deserve to die like that. I know he had enemies because of his business. Maybe his murder was a vendetta."

'Friendly, hospitable'

Jackson appears in the Egoli movie alongside Darren Kelfkens (who plays Joe in the soapie and movie).

Kelfkens said on Tuesday that Jackson invited them to his club on the night before their scenes would be shot, so they "could get to know the environment".

"He was very friendly and hospitable, but a little nervous about his debut as an actor in a movie."

A new face in the Egoli movie, Leandie du Randt, plays the role of a stripper who is Kelfkens's girlfriend.

"Lolly jokingly told me if ever I didn't have work as an actress, I could come and dance at his club any time," she said on Tuesday.
