Lotto: R24.9m unclaimed
Johannesburg - Lotto winners have yet to claim R24 972 077 in prizes, Gidani said on Tuesday, urging players to check their tickets.
The winning tickets were bought in Mpumalanga, the Western Cape and Gauteng this year, the lottery operator said in a statement.
It said three people had yet to claim their share of a R21.8m jackpot won by 18 players on February 7. Two of the unclaimed tickets were bought in Gauteng and the other in the Western Cape.
A Gauteng player who won the R20m jackpot on Lotto's ninth birthday on March 28, and an Mpumalanga player who won R1.3m on April 29 also had yet to claim their prizes
Winners have a year (365 days) from the date of the draws in which to claim their prizes, said Gidani spokesperson Thembi Tulwana.
He advised players to sign their tickets after buying them to lessen the chances of theft, and to keep them in a safe place they easily remembered to avoid mishaps.
