MP, sisters robbed in Mpumalanga
Mbombela - A member of Parliament's labour portfolio committee and her two sisters, one of them a policewoman, were robbed in a house in Mbombela on Friday morning, Mpumalanga police said.
Three men with guns kicked open the door and ordered the women to lie down, said Lieutenant Colonel Leonard Hlathi.
The men stole several items, including four cellphones, two laptops, a DVD player, a plasma television and cash.
The owner of the house, believed to be another sister, was not at home at the time.
No arrests had been made by Friday morning.
Hlathi said he could not disclose the name of the parliamentarian.
