Pretoria - Judgment of the eight police officers accused of killing minibus taxi driver Mido Macia was briefly interrupted by a man having what appeared to be a seizure in the High Court in Pretoria on Tuesday.

Judge Bert Bam had rejected the version of four of the eight police officers accused of killing Macia when an elderly man in the public gallery moaned.

The man leaned forward in his seat, his head to one side. He fell slowly onto his side. The woman sitting next to him touched him and whispered "Jesus".

A security officer and a man sitting next to him picked him up and carried him out.

Judge Bert Bam adjourned for five minutes.
