Mahumapelo makes a comeback
Rustenburg - Former North West ANC secretary Supra Mahumapelo made a dramatic comeback to the provincial leadership on Saturday when he was elected chairperson.
With 409 votes, he beat Moloki Pheelwane with 313.
The North-West ANC elective conference in Rustenburg saw former Mayor of Matlosana, China Dodovu being elected as deputy chair with 520 votes.
The province's former youth commission chair Kabelo Matebogo was elected secretary.
Madibeng's axed municipal manager Philemon Mapulane was voted in as provincial treasurer.
The newly elected provincial ANC leadership would assume power from the provincial task team that had been running the party's affairs after its 2009 administration was disbanded due to infighting.
