Johannesburg - A man appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate's
Court on Monday in connection with the robbery and shooting of Chrysler SA CEO
Trent Barcroft, police said.
"The case was postponed to next week for a police
parade. He is in his 20s," said police spokesperson Kim Cloete.
The man was arrested in Tembisa on Friday.
Cloete was not immediately able to provide his name.
Trent and his wife Cathy Barcroft, who are US citizens,
were robbed of their cellphones, jewellery, and a handbag in Waterfall Park,
Midrand, last week.
Trent was shot in the abdomen and admitted to the
intensive care unit at Sunninghill Hospital.
His wife was unharmed.
