Johannesburg - A man wanted for armed robbery and murder in Harding, KwaZulu-Natal, was arrested on Monday, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

The 26-year-old was caught in Mkholombe following a tip-off, Captain Thulani Zwane said.

When police approached the man he tried to run away.

"He was the last suspect still on the run after his three co-accused were arrested."

On 14 January, a Chinese man was held up and shot in the chest at his shop in KwaMachi, Harding.

Simphiwe Madiya, 26, Njabulo Lindelani Mkhungo, 22 and Simphiwe Zwakala, 22, were arrested and have appeared in court several times in connection with the crime.

Zwane said they were still in custody and would be back in court on 26 April.
