Cape Town - A man has been arrested in connection to the
death of Graham Flax, Western Cape police said on Thursday.
"He appeared in court on Wednesday, and the case was
postponed for seven days for investigations," said Captain Frederick van
Wyk.
He said the man was arrested in the Delft area.
The Star newspaper reported that Flax, a gay man, was found
bound and murdered at his home in Sea Point on Sunday. His body was covered
with a duvet.
The newspaper reported that he had been hit on the back of
the head with a blunt object, but that an investigator had said he might have
been strangled as his face was blue, possibly from a lack oxygen.
The case reportedly had striking similarities to series of
murders of gay men in Gauteng, which were investigated by a provincial task
team.
