Johannesburg - A man has been arrested in Hanover Park in Cape Town for possession of stolen property worth R100 000, police said on Wednesday.

The 43-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning came shortly after police were tipped-off by two other men arrested during the week, said Captain Frederick van Wyk.

"The men were linked to a series of burglaries the Wynberg community had suffered in the past few weeks," he said.

Electrical equipment, appliances and camping gear were among the items recovered.

Police said investigations were continuing and more arrests were imminent.

The men were expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Friday on theft charges.
