Johannesburg - A man was arrested on Monday after allegedly stealing a new car from a dealership in Marble Hall, Limpopo police said.

"The suspect went to a car dealership in Marble Hall and told the salesman that he wanted to buy a Nissan Navara," said Constable Lethunya Mmuroa.

It is alleged that the suspect stole the keys from the salesman's office and drove away with the vehicle, said Mmuroa.
Police saw the car on the road between Marble Hall and Siyabuswa.

"A chase ensued and the suspect lost control of the vehicle and it overturned. He did not sustain any serious injuries and was arrested."

Mmuroa said the 37-year-old would appear in the Marble Hall Magistrate's Court on Tuesday on charges of vehicle theft.
