Man critical after Jhb shooting

Johannesburg - A man is in a critical condition following a shooting on William Nicol Drive, Fourways, Johannesburg paramedics said on Thursday.
The man's assailants fired shots at his Isuzu bakkie while he was stopped at an intersection near a minibus taxi rank shortly after 21:00 on Wednesday, Netcare 911 spokesperson Nick Dollman said.
"The victim's vehicle had many bullet holes in it, with more than 10 holes in the driver's-side door alone."
The man sustained serious injuries was taken to hospital.
Earlier on Wednesday evening a minibus taxi was hit by gunfire a short distance from where the first shooting happened. Dollman said the driver was lucky to escape with only minor injuries.
"The Saps is investigating whether the two incidents can be linked."
