Man dies after train hits car in N West
Johannesburg - A man was killed when his car was hit by a train in Potchefstroom in the North West on Thursday morning, police said.
The 38-year-old man was driving through the railway crossing when the train crashed into his Toyota Corolla, Captain Tselane Nkala said.
"He died on the scene and the vehicle was extensively damaged," she said.
The man was travelling from Klerksdorp to Potchefstroom at the time of the accident.
Nkala urged the public to be more careful when crossing railway lines, especially unguarded crossings.
